This trip is for experienced riders only (and their passengers)! We ride from Los Angeles to Portland Oregon up the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway stopping at lots of view points and places of interest (Part 1)
Portland to Anchorage Alaska through British Columbia and the Canadian Rockies, the Yukon and into Alaska (Part 2)
It is a mostly tarmac trip, but inevitably involves some long but straight forward days and we may encounter gravel roads as we travel through due to winter repairs and road upgrades
Jane has ridden this trip on her own, and with small and large groups on a number of occasions in both directions, you can see her diaries on Facebook to get a taste of what you may encounter on the way. A very limited number of spots/bikes are available so early booking recommended. Lady riders positively encouraged!
The full North to Alaska trip Starts in Los Angeles, where we collect the bikes and ride up Iconic roads such as PCH, the Pacific Coast Highway, over the Golden Gate Bridge, through avenues of Redwood trees, you can even ride through one if you want. The north through the Canadian Rockies and the Yukon to the last Frontier in north America and gold prospecting country. Where lakes and rivers abound and scenery is so big it defies belief.

The Full Monty
We start in Los Angeles and ride up the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway visiting various must see spots along the way.
We have a 2 night stop in Portland Oregon, so half trippers can leave or join us, and any issues with machines can be sorted before heading into the wilds of British Columbia and the Yukon. Those who are taking part in the whole trip can have a day off to visit Boeing or the Spruce Goose (worlds largest wooden airplane) or if you really want another day on the bike a ride up the Columbia River Gorge can be fun.
We then head over the Border and into Canada. Riding through the spectacular Canadian Rockies on empty roads with room to spare, keeping an eye out for the local wildlife of course, bears, caribou, moose etc so cameras at the ready!
We may encounter some seasonal roadworks up here, which can mean pilot cars and gravel roads, so please take care.
5 nights in Canada then into Alaska itself.
Border crossings in either direction can be lengthy so patience may be required.
We head for Valdez for another 2 night stop, so on our second day off for the trip, you can take an optional boat trip out to see the whales (hopefully) and the Columbia Glacier.
And finally, our last day's ride we head on in to Anchorage to drop off our bikes. The hotel is close to the bike drop so no drama.
Please note that we reserve the right to change the route of our California to Alaska motorcycle tours without notice to suit weather conditions or other issues that may affect the chosen route. (Currently a section of PCH is affected by landslides near Monterey but fingers crossed) All mileages are approximate.
